Maria Montessori Central School follows the CBSE curriculum and has classes from Kindergarten to Class XII. The toppers of classes I-XII are recognised with Thamath Krishna Pillai Memorial Award every year. This award is sponsored by Smt. Leelavathy Amma and Family of Thamath. The Award comprises of a Scholarship and cash award.
At MMCS, we lay emphasis on identifying the enthusiastic learners of our school. This scholarship is presented to students from each class for their academic proficiency in a scholarship exam conducted by the school. The exam is primarily based on the curriculum we follow in school as well as general knowledge.
The Parent Teacher Association of Maria Montessori Central School awards the Master Montessori and Miss. Montessori title to the best male and female student(s) respectively on the basis of their overall performance for an Academic Year.

Promotion at the end of the year will be based on attendance, continuous Assessment in every subject, grades and marks obtained during the year and overall conduct record.
For Classes 9 and up, we strictly adhere to CBSE criteria for promotion.
Each academic year is divided into two terms. During an Academic year each student will have 4 Evaluations (examinations) namely; 2 Mid Term Exams and Two Terminal Examinations.
The evaluation system for each student is in the form of Grades. The Grades are as follows in classes 1 to 8.
